When Cockroach Visit

For those who are lucky, he or she might not have to see a single cockroach in his/her life. Well, although cockroaches are not as venomous as spiders, but do I find myself afraid of them even more. Even when I was googling about them for this post, I was thinking twice if I really want post about it. Anyhow, the writing starts...

It starts with 'him' flying into my room yesterday and don't know how he did it as my room was at 9 storey height.

Well, do you know that you can't kill a cockroach by simply smashing it flat?

Cockroach is not as cute as you think. By flattening it, you will pollute your room with various bacteria knowing that they love living within the rubbish pit. You know, it's like they are actually kamikaze or mobile mine bombs. All you can do is to spray it dead with poison.

That's why, many people are afraid of flying cockroaches as they are like flipping those dirty bacteria towards you!

Indeed, they are disgusting but please be patience while you try to kill it. Or else, your room is gonna be seriously damaged.

I believe most of you recognized this guy through the book 'Rich Dad and Poor Dad'. Many of his quotes were found remarkable and thus spreading throughout the world.

For example, “The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.”

It means when you aim for something big, you ought to desire big, dream big and be ready for some disappointments. In human history, there is no smooth path toward success. Bill Gates (Founder of Microsoft) met his failures in his moments of establishing Microsoft, and Steve Jobs (Founder of Apple) should had been dead by now if he ever give up. The point is, they dream big and thus continue to strive until 'success' is theirs.

Robert Kiyosaki says “Inside of every problem lies an opportunity.”

Those successful people are with similar concept that is not giving up. And those who gave up let 'opportunity' bypass.

Have you ever been to Phuket? Well, I've been researching for entertainments that we could have there. Of course, we never want to waste our time doing nothing nor wasting money for activities that prices are not ideally given. If the information is well prepared, certainly the schedule would be fantastic.

I've found some relevant websites sharing the info but this page seems most reliable. Maybe it was just a new page that no one start spamming, but the admin had somehow suggested useful opinions about what we should do there. Exercises for Lazy People

Your upset because your too lazy to start an exercise program. Your over weight and over tired and don't have the will to change your health condition. You work an office job full time and just want to come home, eat, try and watch some tv and sleep.

Here are 5 worthy tips you can use to start exercise in home today.

1. When you arrive home from work, change into a pair of jogging pants and t-shirt with some brand name such as Addidas or EverLast etc.. A brand that makes you think of playing sports. Wear a sports cap on your head of your favorite sports team. If you don't have one buy it. If you don't have a favorite sports team, make it Ottawa Senators

2. If you're thinking about sitting down, go ahead, sit down, FOR 1 SECOND, then STAND up. Sit down, Stand up. Control the movement. Don't bounce on the seat. Keep your back as straight as possible and look forward. Perform 15 repetitions, stop, then stand on your right foot, keep your pelvis neutral, tight abs, then hold for as long as you can for a maximum of 60 seconds. Repeat three times, for 3 sets of 15 reps. If you want to make it more challenging, keep your arms straight in front, raise them to increase the challenge and make sure to keep proper alignment with your back as best you can.

3. You've had enough? Going upstairs for a nap? At least your taking the stairs, but guess what? You've already started the momentum! Your NOT dead! Go up the stairs, turn around and just down the stairs one foot at a time in a controlled motion. Keep your back straight. If you need to use the railing go ahead, until your balance becomes better. Go up the stairs and Go down the stairs. Just like that Karate Kid movie (wax on wax off). STOP, then stand on left foot, keep your pelvis neutral, tight abs, then hold for as long as you can for a maximum of 60 seconds. Stepping Up and Down the complete staircase, equates to one set of movement. Perform 3 sets, so repeat three times.

4. Are you sweating at all? Wanna lie down on the ground? Go ahead, but LIE on your STOMACH, then GET BACK UP! That's right, but don't fall down. Control the movement. You can descend to both knees, then lie flat on your stomach, with your hands at your side. Position your arms, like your going to do a push up, but keep your knees on the ground, do as much as a push up as possible, then get up, AND GET BACK DOWN! Repeat this for 3 sets of 15 reps. Rest 60 seconds between sets.

5. Ok, your done. All you have to do is continue breathing, once you have caught your breathe, inhale and hold for 6 seconds, then exhale slowly while counting to 3 seconds. Wait 3 seconds in between breaths and Repeat 10 times. If you start to feel dizzy at any time, STOP and sit down. Don't worry you can stay seated this time.

You now have 5 exercise tips that will change your life as you know it. You've burned calories, raised you metabolism, Improved your cardio-respiratory system, improved your stability and balance. Most of all you succeeded in breaking your old habit. This is momentous action and congratulations!

You can continue to perform these tips 3 times a week, for 3 weeks, then start everyday.

The Power of Music

We think of music as entertainment, or an accompaniment to entertainment. However, the classical Master Beethoven, for example, was justly famous for being able to evoke specific emotions in his listeners, and wrote pieces that we still listen to today to evoke joy, sadness, loss and return. His piano sonata Les Adieux couldn't be clearer if he had written a short story: two lovers part, they experience their loneliness, but are joyfully reunited in the last movement. The ability of music to evoke emotions is its first and most obvious power, and we shall return to it again.

Some types of music can relax us. After a stressful work day, classical music, certain types of jazz, or our favorite ballad singer can physically relax our bodies and distract our minds from the cares of the day - at least for a while. On the other hand, loud, fast music with a strong beat can exhilarate (or bother) us. In fact, sometimes we may prefer one kind of music or artist, and at other times that's the last thing we want to listen to.

So we have all experienced music's physical and mental effects on us at one time or another. In fact, the mental effect is so strong at times, a few lines from a song can keep running through our minds despite our efforts to ignore them or make them stop.

There are other ways music affects us emotionally. One way can be most clearly demonstrated by movie music. Movie Music signals us when something scary, threatening or ominous is about to happen. If you close your eyes in an action, horror or thriller movie, you can pretty much tell what's happening on the screen by the music alone. The same is true for a romance. Film composers such as John Williams get paid big money for their ability to shift your emotions from moment to moment. Movie theme music - such as Williams' Star Wars theme - can make us practically march out of the theater, our shoulders thrown back, determined to vanquish our own foes. (And sometimes we just hope one will show up right then so we can spring into action.) Our self-confidence has been affected, and it is as much due to the movie music as the movie story and visuals.

Music has also always had a sacred purpose. Most of our modern religious music is but a faint echo of other powers music has had in the dim past, although some of this ancient power has recently come to light, which is one of the purposes of this site.

Used in certain ways, one of the principal powers of music can be to induce altered states of consciousness (ASC's). These can be anything from a very relaxed state, to a much deeper state, where non-ordinary realities can be experienced. There are many ways to enter such states - meditation and psychotropic plants are but two - but music has always been one of the primary entrance points to these inner states. Nothing is required but the music and the listener. Not all music can do this, but some, such as that on Memories of Home, is capable of inducing them.

Music and sound also have the power to heal body, mind and spirit.

Killer Game

This game was once legendary among my friends. It is an extremely simple game but it reveals the true nature of one being. In fact, it is a psychological. I hope you guys play this game before =)

To begin this game, we need a set of cards probably 1 showing the inspector and 2 being the killers. The rest would be the commoners. In order to win, inspector and commoners must work together to catch the killers while the killers will try to confuse them by disguising among themselves. Each day, someone will die through imprison after the general discussion or accusing. Each night when everyone asleep, the inspector will be given a chance to guess out who is the killer from monitor and then the killers are able to kill someone. The number of players keeps on decreasing since the monitor announces the day and night progressively, and if the killer able to survive until the end, killers win.

Killer game focuses on soul, self and mind. The inspector is the one to convince the commoners about the truth when the killer will try their best disguising themselves with intelligent. Truths or lies? If he is the inspector, how good is he standing for the truth? This will be resolved by his way of reasoning. When he is the killer, how good is he in deceiving? This will be resolved by his intelligent and emotional control such as throwing anger.

Come to think about it, throwing anger is one of the best way to deceive people. Hence, never easily believe the words of those who always throw anger because they could be the masters of deceivers. Haha...

It seems that this game concentrates only on the inspector and killers. Nevertheless, the psychological test doesn't ends here. This test is also meant for commoners: the ignorant, the aggressive, the easily blinded, and the destroyer.

The ignorant are those who mind not about winning when they thought that they are not the main person in the game. Often they will utter "Take it easy, losing is just a game". The aggressive are those who wants to win and trying their very best to play the game. They often post many strategies in order to catch the killers. The easily blinded are those who simply mislead by words and start accusing. Often they will say "I think you are the killer...No no! I think... ". The destroyer are those who easily confused and thus causing chaos in discussion.

Only the opponents know the truth while the rest are just listeners. Note that there are always ways to fake out evidences and hence the best choice is not to believe what we see by naked eye, but what we know from the start before everything happen. =)

Recently, my iphone was connecting to GPRS or EDGE without me noticing. It downloads data automatically by default and consumes much of my phone credits. Therefore I was seeking ways to totally block them from using anything but WIFI. Lucky I found 3 alternatives to turn off/ disable IPhone GPRS, EDGE & 3G data charges.

We can call your mobile network operator to disable GPRS/ EDGE /3G however this is case to case basic, some operator may refuse our request and we could not receive MMS, online anymore too.

For MAXIS user, we can simply cancel the Maxis 3G & GPRS service by keyin *136*4# and press “dial” on our iPhone. We may enable it again any time by calling your operator helpdesk.

Besides this, we can use third party software but we must Jailbreak the iPhone first. Download BossPrefs from Cydia to turn off 3G (Disable this to save money) and EDGE.

Easier alternative to disable IPhone GPRS, EDGE & 3G data charges

3. go to Network
4. now go to Cellular Data Network
5. go into APN, fill in fake Username and Password

Reason Multi Level Marketing is a failure

This post might sounds harsh but the truth must be revealed. I believe everyone had heard about Multi Level Marketing (MLM). It is a business where the companies urge you to sell their products by giving you some incentives. The ugly truth is that this system is going to ruin your life if you fell for it. Usually, they will try to convince you by demonstrating how a 'successful one' live their millionaire or even billionaire lives. This is to trigger your greediness. Next, they will show you how things generate your income. Basically, you'll have to sacrifice a sum just to gain a possibility. Come to think of it. If this system really works, everyone would be millionaire already. But why not? Below exhibits MLM general system. No matter how the strategy alter, the problems remain.

Seems attracting huh? Imagine that if you are the top leader, you can be retiree yet billionaire already. However you are not but the lowest rank at all time. In this system, only the founder of MLM and the few levels after him can be successful. Why? After a series of referring, the lower ranks ought to compete with each other and we are in fact the LOWER rank! This pyramid is just deceiving you, making you think that you are the above one.
Please imagine again. Now you are one in the red circle and you are trying to get some down-lines. The blue and the green is your competitors doing the same thing. What more can you gain? In fact, the referees of the blue and the green will again become your competitors and thus your competitors increases tremendously. Are you going to be success then? One in the million. The top level will just sit in carefree when you fight your ways just to help him increase his personal income.

Everyone wants to be rich, thus everyone who came across this pyramid will eventually think that they are the natural leader of the pyramid. Some companies had even state the word 'You!' at the top to deceive you. Trust me. An MLM could never work even if the persuaders seriously claimed that they will help you to preach the market! Truth of Global Warming

Since saving the planet is such an important topic in this day and age, learning about global warming is critical to understanding how Earth is being affected by humans. As pollutants continue to go up and become bottled up within the Earth’s atmosphere, global warming climbs up and up. Many scientists and other researchers are tracking the phenomenon diligently, trying to convince the public about its reality – and its dangers.

Although the greenhouse effect has a largely negative connotation, it is something that actually serves a very useful purpose – to a point. Without the greenhouse effect, the surface of the Earth would not become warm enough to sustain life; the atmosphere would merely release any heat generated by the Sun instantaneously. However, global warming is caused by a marked increase in the greenhouse effect which is caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air. CO2 is the most characteristic aspect of global warming, and it has been introduced to the atmosphere in larger and larger quantities as industrial manufacturing has increased through modern times.

CO2 – or carbon dioxide – is the biggest culprit behind global warming; other pollutants also play parts in the problem. But where specifically do these contaminants come from? The majority of the CO2 and other pollutants that cause global warming come from two main sources: coal burning power plants and automobiles. Especially when they were first introduced, cars seriously increased the levels of CO2 in the air; more recently, emissions standards have been enforced around much of the globe in order to reduce their contribution of CO2 – and hopefully reduce the effects of global warming. Power plants were once far more polluting than they are today, since new standards have also been implemented for them.

As with any relatively controversial topic, there are plenty of people who are convinced that global warming is a hoax. They believe that the Earth simply has cycles of warm and cool, and that we happen to be in a warm cycle right now. During major elections, the merits of claims about global warming are hotly debated. Al Gore – the former Vice President of the United States – produced and directed a documentary about global warming called “An Inconvenient Truth” which increased the debate about this phenomenon around the world.

It is believed that due to global warming, the Earth’s temperature is rising at a faster rate over the past 50 years than it has at any other point in history. Interestingly, the ten hottest years ever recorded have all occurred since 1990 – prompting global warming warnings.

By the end of this century, average temperatures in the U.S. could rise by three to nine degrees. As further evidence of the effects of global warming, parts of the American Southwest experienced a record number of wildfires in 2002. Levels of CO2 are 31 percent higher than pre-industrial levels; more and more people are becoming concerned about global warming.

Recycle Story

Recycling is, basically, the reprocessing of used materials into new ones. This is done in order not to waste materials and to make them useful again, rather than adding them to landfills or otherwise throwing them away. People have engaged in recycling throughout human history; Plato advocated for and encouraged people to recycle as far back as 400 BC. At times in history when resources were at low levels, there is evidence that recycling was used to help people get by.

Recycling has become an increasingly popular phenomenon as more people than ever before are realizing the importance of doing their part to save the planet. With landfills becoming more and more full – and additional waste products polluting our forests, beaches, oceans and other natural environments – recycling has become a truly urgent and important matter. When you choose to recycle, you choose to be proactive about helping to protect the fragile ecosystem of Earth.

During times of war, citizens in countries like the United States were urged to recycle in order to provide enough materials for the war effort. In the 1970s, more mainstream attempts to recycle were engaged as the energy crisis worsened. Since then, many communities have made recycling mandatory in certain parts of the world. Many common products are now made largely out of recycled materials, making it more and more ubiquitous.

There are many benefits to recycling. 5 Ways to Save the World

It’s no secret that the world’s natural resources are limited and endangered. Despite all efforts to save the world by gaining support globally for environmentally sound programs there remains some resistance. There is hope, however, in the fact that every individual can help save the world by setting a priority in their daily living activities by making ecologically sound choices. There are 5 ways to save the world ecology that are easily done by individuals no matter where they reside.

Recycle
Recycling is well known by people in most modern countries. Set up a home recycling center by using several boxes or bins and separate out items for recycling. Collect cardboard, plastic, glass, paper and metal in the containers. Children will enjoy your attempt to save the world in this fashion. Kids have fun helping out especially when they can dump the bins into the recycling center containers. Recycling is simple enough that even the youngest children can understand about doing the separating. Take care with disposal of your batteries and other hazardous materials to see that they get to the proper place for recycling. Extend your effort to save the world by shopping for recyclables and buying from resale stores, using libraries and rental stores.

Stop buying bottled water
Water is another limited resource but a necessity to have to save the world. Many people enjoy bottle water but using bottled water is not ecologically sound. Besides possible health risks, the process for making the bottles can harm the environment and waste is another problem. Bottle production requires the use of fossil fuels and toxic chemicals in the plastic bottles can harm health and leach out as pollution. Save the world by using fewer plastic liquid containers.

Use less gas and electricity
Another way to save the world is to use less gas and electricity. Combine errands into one trip so you drive fewer miles. Trade in a gas guzzler for a more efficient car. Carpool to work or take public transportation. Better still, walk or ride your bicycle. Your efforts to save the world help reduce larger emissions from power plants. Use energy efficient appliances and power saver settings. Replace incandescent bulbs with long lasting energy saver CFL bulbs.

Have a smaller carbon footprint
Do some calculations to determine your carbon footprint. With a smaller carbon footprint you create less pollution and help save the world. Go online and use one of many carbon footprint calculators that are offered to see what kind of human footprint you are creating. The carbon footprint is a method of determining what impact a human has on the environment. One way to save the world is to reduce your carbon footprint by changing your lifestyle. Much human activity causes the release of greenhouse gases including CO2 into the atmosphere which can cause global warming. You can reduce your carbon footprint by doing things like planting a tree, driving less or driving a more efficient car. Knowing what foods to buy is another way to save the world. Foods that require less processing and fertilizer are kinder to the environment.

Plant a tree
Another old favorite in the effort to save the world is to plant a tree. Plant many trees! Reforestation is an excellent group project and can be done in many places. Trees actually contribute more oxygen into the atmosphere than other green things like grass.
