This is Me

First of all, I admit that I'm blur. Yep! BLUR~ Being the fact of I can hardly memorise people's name, I often record them in my cell for 'own' safety. Then, I met Xiang Jie (Coursemate). I shook his hand and of course greeted him~

Me: "What your name har?"
Xiang: "Har? How come you don't know my name?"
Me: "Most probably I never ask before..."
Xiang: "But I know Yours..."
Me: "Am I that Famous? So tell me what's mine."
Xiang: "You are XXX, I'm Xiang Jie."
Me: "Oh! I recalled! I did asked before. Sorry! Sorry!"
Xiang: "Heartless..."
Me: "Please don't be mad. Okay! Let me record down your cellphone number so that I could remember your name easier."
Xiang: "Hey! We exchanged phone number before..."
Me: "Is it?" Check Check Check~

Me: "Oop! Yea... We did." =.=
Xiang: T.T

Aik! Why am I telling you my embarrassing moment here! Right, maybe it was because of you don't know who I really am or we won't even have the chance to meet =) Haha...

Now, enjoy my second 'blur'ness...

Last week, I went to stay over my aunt's house and I almost lost my pendrive which my important report was in it. I searched up and down for the whole sunny day until I was about to give up at night. And guess where I'd finally found it...

Can you find it in this picture? If you can't, you have the same 'blur'ness as mine. Haha... Btw, it was there all the time and I did passed through it a lot.

My current life had become busier and pitier T.T... Assignments, Tests, Lab Reports... I have even less time to blog now... Okay, let's hope that I can still manage to find time here.I hate reports and assignments. They consumes much of my time. Lucky for those who don't because all they do is just to copy from those who make efforts. So unfair right? But what can I do? I'll still need to smile and joke in front of them. Life dear life~
I sent my report softcopy to YeeLin for outside printing. But it was not cheap... I admit that I'm a quiet a miser but I've to do that in order to survive. Everything in my country just suddenly increase their price values, especially food...
Quality and quantity, I may just choose quantity. But some of my friends like to boast and they think that they are cool. Haiz, immature...

It sounds like I'm complaining here. Heh~

Sorry~

Anyway, I'd just discovered something funny about Melati Utama Lrt station. One of the ticket scanning machine went hyper-active! Usually, we insert the tickets and it will ejects them after scanning through. This time, it shoots the tickets high to the sky after scanning them. Wow!
Interesting isn't it? If you are not prepared for the catch, the ticket might just fly far and away~

A Cup of Tea

This person here is funny. In what sense?
'Nonsense'
And you know what?
I love youtube...

Maybe you're not in the mood to watch this nonsense but let me tell you the truth,
Nonsense~ are~ magic~
!!Hahahahaha!!

Butter vs Margarine

-VS-
Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal, so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW the difference between margarine and butter?

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few, only because they are added!

Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine....

Very high in trans-fatty acids.

Triple risk of coronary heart disease.

Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.

Lowers quality of breast milk.

Decreases immune response.

Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact.... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC !!!

You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

* No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* It does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny micro organisms will not find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic! Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast? No way!

Interesting Lecture Note

Ok, this is real fun. I've just received a few photocopied notes from our lecturers today. And guess what I'd found...
Not clear enough?
-!!Zoom!!-

Do you notice the new word "Memberize"? What's the meaning? New word? Lol... This was written by my lecturer which I said his English is really "Bombastic"~ Civil Construction Engineering...

Sorry for the spam but I just want to share this laughter with you^^ Haha

He Is Back!!

Looking back at my previous post, you know that the students in my University have ganged up to force the Head of Department to change the lecturer. It was a successful act... We were all looking forward for a new lecturer. Wondering if he looks smart or something.

Who knows...

He came back to our sight today and I'd just missed the part of interesting moment of him apologizing to students. My friend, YiZhong told me that he was about to cry when apologizing. Too bad to have this kind of incident occurs in University huh~

He promised change himself into a better lecturer and...

He finally abandons the chair after 6 weeks of 'sitting' on it. This is his first time using the white board. Well, he really made his effort. That 'peace' hand is YiZhong's.
He filled the board with ink and ink only. I was so touch that I was able to hold my pen for the first time in his class since the beginning of semester.
To my surprise, he really changed a lot. Explaining each and every data in detail... But that's too time consuming.

My friends who complaint him before was not satisfied with this result. Thus they went complaining again. Let's wait and see what will happen.

-Spam a little here-
According to my housemates, Serene went sleep walking [somnambulate] and tore this curtain. Terrible~ But one benefit from this torn curtain is we can check the weather outside through those small slits.
I've made a new one. Hope that she won't destroy it again... Hahaha

And I accidentally fell asleep in class today. I'm on the Candid Camera~

v^^!!Snap!!^^v

Made in China

Should I call It a Day?

I received a sms from my friend yesterday saying monday test is cancelled and I was extremely glad. Because I was not able to finish my lab report at point of time. [I'll post about my interesting lab when I get the pictures from YaChie ^^v] Not long after that, another sms came.

"My sincere apology to all of you. I admit my mistakes and willing to change to serve the students better. I hope all of you can give me a chance. I promise to help you in whatever way I can. Can you help to deliver this message to your classmates? I will still see you in Tutorial and the lecture will be new lecturer. Anyway I hope you can give me a chance to correcrt the situation."

Ono, it seems like this post was sent by a lecturer! I was shocked and worried as I did complaint about them in my blog few days ago. (See here) Did one of them found out my blog? Could anyone of them subscribing my blog? I was so nervous...

I checked the sender's number immediately...

-!!!-

It was from Richard (My Classmate). I rolled my eye straight... In fact, both sms that I mentioned above were from him. I was relieved but I repeated the sms again... My feeling now is different you see... Reading the first sentence, I was like... Don't tell that that the previous sms about test canceling is a fake! I continue on with the second to fifth sentences, What's wrong with Richard? Does he really means he sent a fake sms? Sixth sentence onwards, This is weird... It sounds like he forwarded this sms from a 'lecturer' still...

I decided to ask him for the truth and soon I found that the monday test was cancelled due to the exchanging of lecturer. If you want to know which lecture is he (Read this Post, he's in the second picture)

Poor thing... The students actually complaint about him as I did (The only difference is I did it cowardly in blog...Hehe...) The Dean found out about this problem and decided to get rid off him. Is he jobless now? I bet he is... =(

Let's listen to my classmate's comments about this case:

"One lecturer can't be a lecturer anymore because of our complaint. This is what we call customer right in UTAR. lol..." from Mike

"The power of Complaint ==> Monday test cancelled!!! lecturer has been changed!!" from Yi Zhong

"Brother Lim, let us salute you for the last time. May your path ahead is an easy path..." form Kok Sheng

"Anyway, he was digging his own grave. Working as employee is not that you can take everything easy." from Me

Bukit Tinggi Wan Tan Mee

It's been a while I've not post about foods. Still remember once Angelyn commented that I was like a food critic and my blog was full of food stuffs. Indeed, I love to eat. However the medical report which just came out this morning saying that my liver could not digest fats. =.= Sad case... Currently, I'm on medication.

Anyway, I will be introducing this wan tan mee (Noodle) which it could be found at bukit tinggi. It is served with Honey Meat, its specialty.
For oversea readers, this is how wan tan mee looks like^^ It's sweet. Eventhough this is not the best Wan Tan Noodle I'd tried but still it's worth eating.
Sui Kao, often accompanied by wan tan mee. Yum Yum~ However, some place they don't have this while serving the noodle.
Beside wan tan mee, you can actually try other foods in this restaurant. Their prices are reasonable. While waiting for the food to come, we found...
Interpretation error... TABAN MEE... What's that? It should be TAMBAH MEE ('add noodle') =)

Lavender Breads

Talking about eating Lavender breads. One thing that people will always say is "WoW~!" In fact, the bread quality is fine =) For breads that are supposed to be crunchy, they go crunchy; for breads that are supposed to be creamy, they go creamy. Hey, I'm advertising it for free!!

Anyway, my advice on those who intent to buy breads from this shop is Please Don't Dine There! You can take back the breads. Don't worry, the breads will be in good shape when you reach home.

If you choose to dine there, you're going to waste lots of money for sure. Well, if you don't mind...
Here is my story. Me and my family went to this Lavender bread shop for a taste since my cousin, Irene once praised it (I'm not sure about now). The breads were great and tempting.
Just look at the golden breads. Seducing...
We went in for a seat and the waiter came to start taking orders for beverage. Gosh! They aren't reasonable price at all. Talking about reasonable price, many food and beverage nowadays in the market are more than expensive. I mean they are not worth for the price. Come to think of it, RM 7.90 for nasi lemak in Memory's corner or whatever "branded name" restaurant... That's kinda ridiculous when we could actually get them about RM 4.50 or cheaper. Plus these restaurants collect taxes at least 5%! Nevertheless, lots people enjoy spending money like that and soon helps to increase the price further in the future =.= I hereby "thank" those "smart" people who like to boast.
The honey is cheap stuff honey, one that you can find in Jusco Market or any market. Are these drinks special? Yea, just by their name =.= They taste worst than MaMak's...

Winkler's method for Dissolved Oxygen

This time, we are studying the DO of water using Winkler's method. Basically, the reagents that we need are POISONs! Right, they are bad towards human body=P
These are thrown tools. How wasting =.=... But I hope they recycled it somehow.
Talking about wasting. There is more to come. We as students usually don't safe the cost for any experiment since we did paid for them.
This is our sample water obtained. It looks dirty and indeed it's not clean =P
Kok Sheng is the most hardworking member in my group. He did almost all the experiment.
To understand DO in water is important so that we know if the water is safe for us human. Anyway, I'm the most lazy member today as I was just standing there doing nothing. Haha... Any question concerning this experiment, you can ask me^^

PUSH-POCKET IN KUALA LUMPUR

I received this e-mail and I think I should share it here:

I am sure you all have heard of 'pick pocket'.
A new trend 'push pocket'.
Read on.. for your own good

A few days ago a new type of crime has surfaced in town.
It goes something like this:-
Somebody slips a hand-phone into your pocket,
sometimes it could be just a wallet with
an identity card and a few ringgit.

A few minutes later, the 'owner' comes up
and confronts you, the 'thief '.
He makes a big commotion that you stole his stuff.

You, caught unaware, are then pulled aside by the
'owner' for a settlement. You are intimidated and threatened
that if you do not pay up the police will be brought in.
If you pay up, this 'owner' lets you go.
If not, the police are brought in.

Another strange thing is that there always seems
to be a 'witness' to your 'theft'.

I am told this often happens to foreigners at
the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
or even at LRT trains.
Given that you're 'guilty until proven innocent'
as far as t he Malaysian police are concerned,
I understand some poor people are in jail for
these 'offences'.

At the KLIA, the 'owner' throws his hand-phone and
wallet with the few ringgit notes into the luggage
trolley of a just arrived passenger.
The drama unfolds a few minutes later.
The real culprit has easily convinced our Malaysian police
to arrest the real victim (if he has not paid up the 'settlement' demand).
This is a very serious matter.

This is another form of extortionists operating in broad daylight.
They are disgusting criminals who will do anything
to rob and steal. The sickening part of the whole
scenario is that unless you pay the 'quoted settlement' money,
they will put you in real trouble by calling the police.

The real culprit gets back his hand-phone
and wallet but the real victim ( i.e. could be any one of us)
is thrown into the police lock up and charged in court.

So do be very careful,
otherwise you may end up as a 'thief'
as you have no way to prove your innocence.

Anime Chat Room

I have no idea if my readers, you are interested in anime. Personally, I do and I hope we can share the same interest. Now, here is the challenge: Is cartoon and anime the same? I don’t think so. Although their graphic projection might be alike, their target viewers are different. Another stress is that cartoons are meant for kids but anime is for teens like me =P

One thing I love about anime is their creativity. Their interesting storylines are something that is not easy to be written without imaginative ideas. What do you think?

Today, I was being introduced to this Free Anime Chat by one of my friends, who is also an anime lover. Basically, it is something similar to Skype and Msn messenger where people gather together to chat. Furthermore, people could be from anywhere of the world, from east to west; north to south sharing the same interest. As I had just mentioned, it is more like a Messenger than a chatbox in my blog, people uses webcam and thus we can see how they look like. Anyway, this chat room is free and they are aiming for Anime Chats only I suppose. By doing this, we can be easily updated with anime daily news.

University Lecturers

Before I started, I would like to declare that this is a complain post =P Get your hearts prepared before continuing.
Every parent is expecting University to be something great and extreme but in fact, it's the worst among school of all categories. Sad case huh~ Generally, university has its philosophy of being independent in our own research. Yet, they want to bind us with attendance taking system. Actually, the intention is not bad at all. The only problem lies within the quality of the lecturers. Although they might be PhD holders or whatever Professional, but we do often doubt their ability as they never seems to suit their title. This PhD holder never gets up from his chair while he's lecturing, or I should say reading the slides. That's how he 'lecture' and he often goes out of topic to spam time. Plus, if you question him something, he's ask you to search for it yourself. So, what's the point of having this meaningless lecture class?
This PhD holder is playful. However, his English often confuses us. He pronounces "Failure" as "Fearer", "Ignore" as "Eno"... I think a qualify lecturer must at least speak proper pronunciation.
In fact, with the notes photocopied, we really do not need a lecturer.
No! We need lecturers to give out tips for tests and exams =) That's what lecturers are for =.=
Almost everytime, we students can present much better. I don't know what's in their mind seeing us performing during our presentation.
Lot of us had given up on their lecturing style and start doing lot stupid things. Anyway, spamming our youth in a lecture like this isn't a wise decision.

Youth = Play + Enjoy
